Frequently Asked Questions

  • No prior experience is required. Our workshops are designed for beginners as well as those with some experience. Our instructors will guide you step-by-step through the process so you can enjoy creating with clay in a relaxed and supportive environment.

  • We recommend wearing comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a little messy. Clay washes out easily, but pottery can be a hands-on process so we recommend not wearing rings.

We provide aprons for all students.

  • You will receive an email about 4 weeks after your class or workshop letting you know your pieces are ready for pickup.

Please pick up your pieces promptly as items will be discarded after 2 months if not collected.

  • Workshop sizes are intentionally kept small to provide a more personal and hands-on experience. This allows our instructors to give individual guidance while maintaining a relaxed and creative atmosphere. Each workshop typically has about 6-12 students depending on our locations.

  • Workshops may be rescheduled with advance notice.

Please contact us as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to help move you to another available date.

Note: Our hands are often messy with clay which makes it difficult to answer the phone. Please email us at the location you booked the workshop: laguna@artimebarro.com, costamesa@artimebarro.com, or santamonica@artimebarro.com & feel free to cc info@artimebarro.com

  • While we always do our best to ensure every piece turns out beautifully, ceramics can sometimes be unpredictable.

Factors such as glaze inconsistencies, clay reactions during firing, or kiln-related issues can occasionally affect the final result.

Unfortunately, these are natural parts of the ceramics process and are sometimes beyond our control.

If your piece did not turn out as you expected, we completely understand how disappointing that can feel.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at info@artimebarro.com, and we’ll be happy to work with you to find a solution. This may include scheduling a remake or offering a partial refund.

Our goal is always to make things right and ensure you have a positive and enjoyable experience with us. We truly appreciate your understanding and patience.
