Our Method
Our pottery classes for adults and children are designed to help you nurture your unique creativity – something we all have but sometimes forget about. Our classes are great for beginners and experienced artists alike, those who want to try their hand at pottery making, and those who want to explore all the different ways there are to make beautiful, creative pieces of art.
Most importantly, our method is shining awareness on the therapeutic aspect of working with clay. We strive to have our students consciously work with all the elements and add themselves to the process. Experiencing clay as a being, working alongside us to create something one of a kind.
MINDFULLY CREATING WITH CLAY
Sometimes we just want to be free. To go with the flow—to be what we are and where we are, without anyone interfering. When you make pottery, you set aside time for yourself to join your thoughts as they travel wherever they will. Even if there’s no audience, even if nobody’s listening, you trust your mind and hands to be together in the silence of your own company. In these times we need a special kind of headspace—where we mindfully create with clay.
