Charcuterie Board Pottery Workshop: Handbuild Your Own Ceramic Serving Board

Join us for an immersive ceramic handbuilding workshop at ARTime BARRO in Costa Mesa, where you’ll design and sculpt your very own charcuterie board from clay. This creative class invites you to slow down, connect with your hands, and experience the meditative rhythm of shaping and texturing your own functional art piece.

Under the guidance of instructor Mia, you’ll learn essential pottery techniques such as slab-building, smoothing, and surface texturing, transforming a simple block of clay into a beautiful, food-safe serving board. You’ll have the freedom to personalize your design — from natural, organic shapes to clean, modern lines — making each piece uniquely yours.

Pottery has long been known to support mindfulness and creativity. Working with clay encourages presence, relieves stress, and connects you to the ancient craft of creating by hand. Whether you’re new to ceramics or looking to deepen your skills, this workshop offers a warm and welcoming space to express yourself and craft something meaningful.

Your board will be fired and glazed by our studio team, ready for pickup a few weeks after the session. Each finished piece is a reminder that beauty lives in the handmade — perfectly imperfect and entirely your own.

We invite you to step into this grounding experience, meet like-minded creatives, and discover the joy of pottery in community.
