Kintsugi Workshop @ Costa Mesa

Kintsugi Workshop

Discover the centuries-old Japanese art of Kintsugi, the practice of repairing broken ceramics with gold to celebrate, rather than hide, the marks of restoration. More than a pottery technique, Kintsugi is a mindful experience that embraces imperfection, resilience, and the beauty found in beginning again.

During this hands-on workshop, you'll intentionally break a pre-selected ceramic bowl before carefully rebuilding it using a two-part resin and epoxy. Once your bowl has been restored, you'll finish each repaired seam with shimmering gold, transforming every crack into a beautiful reminder that healing and growth are worth celebrating.

Our instructors will guide you through each step of the process—from breaking and rebuilding your ceramic piece to applying the final gold finish—while sharing the history and philosophy behind this traditional Japanese art form. Whether you're looking for a creative date night, a meaningful solo experience, or simply a chance to slow down, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to create something both beautiful and deeply personal.

No previous pottery or art experience is required. All materials are provided, and you'll leave with your own handcrafted Kintsugi bowl to treasure.

We invite you to fully immerse yourself in the experience by putting away electronic devices during the workshop and enjoying a few hours of uninterrupted creativity.
