One-Time Class, $45 per Person
During this one hour intro class you will get the chance to learn the basics of wheel throwing and hand building ceramics. Additionally you will get to build two pieces and glaze them upon your second visit.
Ongoing Classes - $250 Monthly Membership
This is our monthly membership for adults who wish to learn at an on-going basis. Classes are small batch no more than four students at a time. These classes are curated to enhance skills you already have or build them up!
Wheel-Thrown Planter Pottery Class
Explore the magic of the potter’s wheel in this beginner-friendly, one-time pottery class — perfect for first-timers and creative seekers alike. In just one hour, you’ll learn how to throw your own wheel-thrown planter and matching dish, guided step-by-step by expert instructors in a fun, supportive studio environment.
ARTime BARRO’s adult one-time classes are offered at our Santa Monica, Laguna Beach and Costa Mesa pottery & ceramics studios in Orange County, CA. Our classes are taught by professional potters and artists that are local to our communities.. Our studios are well equipped for this class which consists of learning the basics of wheel-throwing and hand-building. Adult One-Time Class Info

During this one hour class you get to create you own pottery. This experience is a two part class, the first part introduces adults to the basics of hand building and wheel throwing where they get to make two ceramic pieces. Whether its a cup, bowl, vase, jewelry holder - your limit is your imagination. After the pieces have been fired, students are invited to glaze their pieces own pieces at the studio so expect to return - or we can glaze it for you, upon request.

Our instructors are pottery artists themselves and have a keen understanding of various techniques. If you have questions, feel free to ask and learn while you are in session. If you are looking to book as a group, private or corporate ceramics class please email us at info@artimebarro.com.

Expect to get a little messy, dress accordingly! During this class we use the wheel again dress accordingly for comfort. Our studios are located in trafficked areas please prepare to arrive at least 15 minutes beforehand to find parking and check-in.

ARTime BARRO One-Time Class | What you can expect: Guided 1hr instruction where you will learn the basic concepts of handbuilding with clay and try your hand at the pottery wheel. This is a one-hour class and great for beginners to make two small pieces which can be glazed by staff or by student at a later time.

Our ongoing classes for adults are designed as a monthly membership consisting of four classes a month, which can be scheduled and managed with our self-service class manager. Each class moves at the student's pace and is unique to each learning experience. The membership is not transferable between locations, so it is essential to ensure the proper studio is selected once signing up for the ongoing pottery classes. Each studio has its schedule, visible for review before purchase.

Adult Ongoing Classes Info

Our ongoing membership consists of four pottery classes per month. They can be booked within your customer portal where you can manage credits and account details. For your convenience we allow rollover sessions; meaning that any classes you have not taken will rollover into next month. Remaining pottery class credits do expire a year after purchase, no exceptions made.

Adult ongoing classes are designed to give students an opportunity to enhance what they already know. Our classes are small enough to craft a personal learning pace per ceramic student.

This membership is monthly and is automatically set for auto-renewal but can be paused by contacting us. This membership is perfect for perspective potters looking to hone in their pottery and ceramic skills.

This class is all about hands-on creativity and relaxing fun. After a brief demo and micro-lesson, you’ll dive into working with clay on a real potter’s wheel. Our instructors will guide you through:
Clay wedging and prep
Centering techniques
Wheel throwing basics
Shaping your flower pot and matching drip dish
You’ll choose your favorite glaze color before you leave. We handle the rest — glazing and firing your work — and notify you when your pieces are ready for pickup (approximately 4 weeks later).
Expect a fun, social atmosphere where creativity flows — ideal for first-time makers, creative date nights, solo self-care, or a group hang with friends.

Recommended but not required: We suggest taking our [One-Time Pottery Class] first if you're brand new to clay — but this class is totally beginner-friendly!
Dress comfortably: Clay can get messy. Aprons are provided, but wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty.
Class size: Small groups ensure lots of one-on-one guidance.
Age requirements: Recommended for ages 14+
Pick-up window: Your pieces will be available for pickup about 4 weeks after class — we’ll notify you when they’re ready.

You can! Once you create your client account in our portal you can add members to your account. Each account can be accessed to book classes and you can assign credit cards to each account to ensure ongoing billing is accurately charging correct account.
